Dario St.Luc (b. 2001, Fort Lauderdale, Florida) is a Haitian-Bahamian filmmaker and photographer based in Boston. With a Bachelor’s in Film Video from Massachusetts College of Art and Design his film work, mainly nonfiction, focuses on the black community as well as the environment and communities around him, mainly highlighting the people in said communities. It aims to shine a light on the challenges that his community faces, while exploring and celebrating the aspects he feels are overlooked. His photography aims to portray people in their most authentic selves as well as studying spaces around him exploring what makes it unique to him and his eye, trying to bring his audience into how he views the world. Two of his photo projects had been selected for a solo student exhibition during his time at MassArt, those being “Back Home” and his most recent “Muito Bem Parcerio”. He is currently working on a continuation of his senior thesis film “Crown”.
